“Vision without systems thinking ends up painting lovely pictures of the future with no deep understanding of the forces that must be mastered to move from here to there.”
- Peter Senge, Systems Theorist
Human systems intelligence relates to unique human abilities to engage in collective intelligence and regulate our nervous systems.
We do this by mastering the mammalian mechanisms of sociality and bonding. This includes the ability to recognize patterns of behavior, communicate effectively, and adapt to changing circumstances.
Systems resilience relates to various pillars of network engineering that allow for robustness of systems that can withstand adversity using strategic mechanisms of anticipation, resistance, detection, response and recovery.
We can develop human systems intelligence and resilience by increasing our self-awareness and knowledge of how the neurophysiology of perception, emotional reactions and unconscious processes influence our ability to interact, communicate and co-regulate with others.
As we increase our understanding, we can become more intentional with how we use our unique forms of intelligence, sociality and communication as mechanisms for achieving our highest levels of wellbeing and energy optimization.

“I can't thank you enough for the mini-books. Your podcast is amazing and helps me so much in my counseling practice - as well as in my own life and relationships. I'm 72, and an almost-new clinical mental health counselor, and, while my grad studies were good, even my limited understanding of neuroscience allows me to help my clients understand that change is possible, and they're not irreparably damaged by their traumas. Thank you.”
