We have been trying to standardize and sterilize learning to the point that young minds are now immune to our attempts to vaccinate them with “education”.

The irritation and boredom in schools is like a fever: it’s not about trying to mask the fever by getting kids to get better at swallowing curriculum pills. It’s about understanding that just like in the body, a fever is a perfect response to get rid of whatever is ailing it.
