It happened again.
There you were, feeling all right about life, and BAM — that thing you thought was going well didn’t turn out the way you’d hoped.
It feels like your vision for happiness is crumbling yet again.
You say to yourself — seriously?... I thought I had it this time. I thought I found what I wanted. But somehow it went wrong. Something was missing.
The worst part is that there was a part of you that saw it coming… a part of you that kind of thought it wasn’t it. But you kept going with it. You ignored those feelings of doubt that were stirring in you.
Maybe you listened to someone else’s opinion and ignored your own.
Maybe you made a list in your head of why
… this time,
… this job,
… this thing,
… this person,
would be what you really wanted.
Until that sinking feeling came over you again. This feeling that… happiness was slipping away from you again. You were losing your grip on having something you wanted.
Possibly… you were ignoring your inner guide — that quiet, wise voice that had been whispering to you all along about what you wanted and what you could do to get it.

I relate to this.
Years ago, I found myself completely ignoring those whispers in favor of:
… being polite,
.., lists of ‘pros and cons,’
… other people’s opinions…
I was listening to the outside world more than I was listening to myself.
As long as I kept that up, my life was going to keep leading me to disappointment.
It was then that I understood that the only way out of this downward spiral would be to connect with that inner guide — that deeper wisdom I had lost touch with.
It’s the same inner wisdom that guides us as children to feel
Fearless. Alive. Connected.
So that sounds all fine… but what does it actually mean?
How do you translate this into something you can actually do?
It starts with something I call Connective Clarity.
Connective Clarity
This is a deep connection with an internal state that can only be achieved by disconnecting from the outside world — from your five senses.
Why?
Because as long as you are paying attention to your five senses, you are in a brainwave pattern that will keep you constantly thinking. Your brain is going to be constantly reacting to each stimulus and each thought — which then sparks more thoughts.
This is what they call ‘mind chatter.’
It’s just constant thinking. This thought leads to that thought, that thought leads to the next thought. Then another thought and another. It never stops.
The only way to connect with a deeper sense of who you are is to return to a state of mind that is not reacting to anything…
it just is.
Buddhists call this Beginner’s Mind. I call it Deep Mind. Clear Mind. Inner Mind.
Clear Mind is smooth, comforting.
In neuroscience, we can see the difference between these states in terms of brainwaves. Surface, chatter mind is mainly about beta waves. When we connect to Deep Mind, we see theta waves as well as some alpha waves — the patterns associated with restful wakefulness.
What’s the point of connecting to Clear Mind?
It gives us a baseline of what it feels like to not be reacting and judging — both of which are exhausting. Both of which have us more focused on others and the outside world than on ourselves.
So how do we do this?
It requires you to carve out, very intentionally, time during your day to tune in to your own awareness and to tune out your five senses.
The ideal period of time that has worked for me to reach that brainwave state is 15–20 minutes, once or twice a day. (Twice works better for me.)
It takes consistent practice to get to a place where you will feel your mind settling and sinking into that still, quiet place.
It took me months of trying every day.
It’s those moments of stillness that have led me to huge insights and clarity — into my relationships and my career. For me, it was easier in the beginning to use guided meditations until I could do it more easily on my own without my mind wandering too much.
Take time every day to disconnect from your five senses and reconnect with that Inner Intelligence.
Becoming really familiar with that deep, inner feeling of clarity will help you notice more quickly when you are ‘out of sync’ — before things start to really spiral downward.
That awareness will help you get back to a harmonious state more easily, even when you are around other people who throw you off.
It’s like building a muscle.
Your Inner Clarity is waiting for you to listen. But it speaks very quietly, because…
Truth is never loud or complicated.
p.s.- in my free training, we look at how to use this connection with Inner Intelligence - our Wisdom Frequency - to re-energize our life with a feeling of clarity and precision…
When was the last time you felt clear, precise and passionate about something?
Anyone who has met me can see how much passion I have for what I do. How did I get into that flow of following my bliss?
That’s what I share in the free training (with the neuroscience to go with it 😉🤓🧠
