… within the mind-body system for learning. The current education paradigm has not caught up with this fact.
What and how we teach children and young people about themselves and the world is a sacred process that is not honored in how typical classrooms are run. I have seen too many kids begin to believe that something is wrong with them or that they are unable to learn - because of the teachers’ and education system’s lack of understanding and awareness about how to truly ignite unique human genius.
The world misses out on what the next generation has to offer when we try to force human intelligence into a standardized process.
On a deeper level, because of industrialized education, I think many of us were not given a chance to truly tap into our unique brilliance, and the effects of this linger in us today.
The human superpower of learning is restricted by the old paradigm of students sitting in rows and consuming information without understanding its relevance. The new paradigm of embodied learning reveals the magnificent systems-logic that exists in the world and in our bodies to help us investigate the world and then adapt as needed.
Grateful for leaders who walk their talk and who are willing to go against status quo, to lead people in new directions that are not yet pre-approved of or popular with the masses. We need leaders and models like that not just in the realm of education and learning, but in all aspects of life.
Just finished recording an interview about expanding our ideas of education beyond the four walls of a classroom. We discuss how our new understanding of what education is for moves us outside of a traditional classroom and into the world of purpose and natural intelligence. When we tune into WHY we want children (and ourselves) to learn... we can align with new ways of learning that are unique, dynamic and reflective of the neuro-mechanics of how human minds achieve their highest functioning. We also explore how to be the grownups we need to be to help the next generation tap into their genius potential and highest levels of well-being and life fulfillment
Hope to have it up week after next!
Have a great weekend!
