AI is uncommonly good at words.
It can offer you ten ways to describe a state. It can mirror back what you 'kind of' said.. and then sharpen it.
When we use it well, it can become a kind of expanded vocabulary.. a workspace to draft, refine, and evolve how we describe our inner world.
But notice the order of operations.
AI can refine your translation only after you've made one.
It can offer language only after you've offered it something to work with
And what you bring it is bounded by what you can feel and put into words yourself.
The SOURCE is still the human flesh-based mind-brain-body. The translator is still YOU.
This is the potential of the human-AI partnership:
you feel, you name, AI helps you refine..
...and then you return back into your body, ... back into your attunement to your inner environment
(taking your eyes OFF the screen, your ears AWAY from other people's words)
... to check whether the new words actually fit.
Your mind-brain-body has the first say and the final say.
Use it the other way around.. let AI tell you what you feel before you've checked with your own body .. and over time, you lose the most important channel you have.
We start our expression of being human in the felt layer of the inner, visceral realm.
The tingle of sweat tracing your back. The flutter in your belly. The thousand interoceptive signals AI can never reach.
We then, developmentally, as we begin to form words.. explore the power of naming... The neural signature of putting a feeling into a word, and the way that translation itself regulates us.
As we mature, get to play with precision. The granularity that turns "fine" into a real map.
And from that place, we are better positioned to explore the dimension of partnership.

Partnership among brain-body systems,

partnership among our collective abilities to regulate and access higher levels of wellbeing.
And partnership with AI.
Sensing without naming leaves us without importnat self-regulating tools.
Naming without sensing leaves us disconnected from our bodies.
Together they make our inner experiences more readable, more legible.. to ourselves, to each other, and to the machines we are building.
Our embodied, thermal, pressure-based, smelly, fluid, flesh, visuo-visceral, vibrational experiences is where we start.
And from there, we have the potential to build empowering, self- and co-regulating bridges with our words (as best we can..)
