"Don't aim at success. The more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue, and it only does so as the unintended side effect of one's personal dedication to a cause greater than oneself or as the by-product of one's surrender to a person other than oneself. "

I am working towards a vision I’ve had for a very long time of finding a way to help people heal and develop their potential in a way that allows me to be surrounded by nature as much as possible as well as be with children and possibly even travel. As much as technology is an amazing tool, I am trying to find a way to live a life with as little of it as I need but still stay connected in order to share my perspectives and insights.
My dream includes using my expertise in developmental science and mindset to help adults as well as kids and families reconnect with their highest potential, healing and sense of mission and purpose. Being in Calgary recently reminded me again of how at home I feel being and working with children. As I reflected back on this, I realize that I've spent almost 25 years working with kids and have always felt the most at peace when I am around them - as well as helping others navigate the waters of children's behaviors and patterns. I am keeping myself open to how that will integrate into the future.
My vision includes a feeling of home, but still connected to a bigger world. I’m still open to it being either a stable location or many different ones. Being a leader and co-creating leadership with a partner-expert and team of experts. Creating my own sense of family by being deeply connected to people who resonate with my values and mindset. So far, Flathead Valley in MT seems to offer a great location… if other ideas come up, I’ll explore those too. My dream may take a long time to crystallize, but that’s what will make it even more special to me.
To keep my eye on my Northstar, I need to work behind the scenes for a little while, so there may be fewer posts from me until late summer, when I will begin to promote my book with videos and other content.
I’m willing to do whatever it takes to stay true to that vision that woke me up after a dream a decade ago. It ignited something so powerful in me that fuels me to keep going.
So thank you all for your continued support and you will hear from me again in a little while!

As you can see by my quotes, I highly recommend reading Man’s Search for Meaning by Victor Frankl.
“For the first time in my life I saw the truth as it is set into song by so many poets, proclaimed as the final wisdom by so many thinkers. The truth - that Love is the ultimate and highest goal to which man can aspire. Then I grasped the meaning of the greatest secret that human poetry and human thought and belief have to impart: The salvation of man is through love and in love.”
