We recognize patterns in our work and see changes happening in the people we serve.
And when we begin to understand more about the biological processes involved, we gain another way of making sense of what we're seeing.
That deeper understanding can change something inside us.
We may begin to feel more grounded in what we're saying, with a clearer sense of why our work matters.
And that clarity can influence how we experience ourselves in conversations where we want our ideas to be taken seriously.
Because when we communicate…
… We are transmitting vibrations.
Our voices are physical signals.
The rhythm and vibrational qualities of our voice become part of the information another nervous system receives.
And the language we choose influences the meaning another person makes from what we're sharing.
Our internal clarity and our external expression are connected.
But they aren't always perfectly aligned.
We might have years of experience helping people and recognize patterns that others haven't yet learned to see.
We may know deeply that something about our work is important.
Yet when we're asked to explain why it matters, the words don't always come.
Sometimes the language we use doesn't quite convey the depth of what we understand or what we want to express.
Or the people we're speaking with don't yet have a framework that helps them recognize the value of what we're trying to share.
This is one of the things we'll explore in Week 2 of the Super-Regulators™ Neuroscience Academy.
We'll investigate the neuroscience of finding our voice as experts and people who help others.
- How might a deeper understanding of the biological mechanisms underneath our work change the way we communicate it?
- And how do we translate that understanding into language that other people can recognize, respect, and resonate with?
We'll also explore the signals we send through our voice and ways of communicating, and how we can become more aware of the relationship between our internal experience and what gets expressed outwardly.
So many people in this world have developed extraordinary wisdom through their work and experiences.
People who are helping communities and advocating for change, often bringing perspectives that haven't yet become a big enough part of important conversations.
I wonder how much extraordinary wisdom is still waiting to reach the people and places where it could make a difference.
And how much more becomes possible when we find ways to communicate that wisdom so others can recognize why they need it be a bigger part of their lives.
Your work already carries more neurological wisdom than you might realize.
And part of what I hope we can do together in the Academy is help you find the scientific understanding and language to bring more of that wisdom into the world.
